A very reliable display analyst has projected that Apple could unveil a new 27″ iMac as early as in the first quarter of 2022! The new Apple iMac, according to display analyst Ross Young, will feature a ProMotion mini-LED display, similar to what we have in the latest lineup of MacBook Pros.
Apple has had a noteworthy debut for the MacBook Pro, which offers 14″ and 16″ display options. The Cupertino giant appears to be carrying out a silent transition from Intel to ARM CPUs, and the trend implies that the new CPUs will also be extended to the new 27″ iMac.
As per Ross Young’s tweet, the new iMac could come with a high 120Hz refresh rate, and it could be Apple’s all-in-one offering in the high-end segment as per screen sizes.
There are still some loose details about the new iMac which seems to be a revamped version of the discontinued iMac Pro. It will also offer some improvements from the current models or at least make it at par with key aspects of current models.
The 27″ iMac may be powered by the Apple M1X Max chipset, with Apple making progress in the development of improved versions of these models.
It is not clear as to how authentic this projection by the display analyst is on the iMac, however, looking back at his track record, he does come with a good amount of credibility.
Apple has continued to grapple with the unauthorized release of its trade secrets by its employees or third parties.
It had put some stringent measures to track and deter tipsters from dealing with a lot of secrets but this has not really done much, looks like we will have to wait and see whether this projection is correct or not.
