AMD Radeon RX 6900 XT challenges the NVIDA's RTX 3090 at $999 only

The upcoming Radeon RX 6900 XT is supposed to be the fastest card among the Radeon RX 6000 line-up. The menu will feature the Big Navi GPU. A Russian outlet called Overclockers is recently claiming that AMD has given greenlit to its board partners to manufacture custom Radeon RX 6900 XT graphics cards.

We already know that AMD was in talks with its AIB partners to develop custom RX 6900 XT models. And the news comes just a month after the initial discussion. The Radeon RX 6900 XT launch is close by, and according to sources, the card’s custom models will not be available at the launch. It is being reported that the custom variants will most likely appear in Q1 of 2021.

According to sources, Radeon RX 6900 XT’s custom variants will have the same TDP but will come with a higher max clock limit of 3.0 GHz. However, the news isn’t confirmed as to whether the AIB’s will allow for a higher clock speed as it will most certainly breach the clock barrier of the flagship card.

The Radeon RX 6900 XT will come with Navi 21 XTX GPU, which features 80 Compute Units or 5120 SPs. It also features 16 GB of GDDR6 memory across a 256-bit bus interface and a 512 GB/s total bandwidth and the card is clocked at speeds of 2015 MHz of base and 2250 MHz of boost clocks. The manufacturer also provides 80 Ray accelerators for ray-tracing enablement on the graphics cards; finally, the menu will feature a TBP of 300W.

AMD’s Radeon RX 6900 XT will be available from December 8th and carry a price tag of $999. The card is said to go against Nvidia’s GeForce RTX 3090.
