AMD takes an oath to re-stock Radeon RX 6000 series GPUs in Q1 2021 itself

AMD Radeon RX 6800 series review: The best AMD GPUs for gaming & productivity

The Red team has launched the Radeon RX 6000 series GPUs for quite some time now but the stocks of these GPUs have been very poor. The availability of these GPUs across the globe is indeed worse than NVIDIA’s also as the RTX 30-series GPUs are still overpriced and some not available, whereas these AMD GPUs cannot be found anywhere.

Having tested the GPUs myself, I can fairly say these GPUs are the best when it comes to gaming as well as productivity. Not only in India but also across the globe the situation is similar like even if someone recommends you to buy one, you won’t be able to get.

This stock situation is said to last until the second half of 2021, however, AMD has now stated that they plan to extend production of their own reference design cards to bring in more stock in the Q1 2021 itself.

AMD takes an oath to re-stock Radeon RX 6000 series GPUs in Q1 2021 itself

The quote that has been reproduced by BabelTechReviews from an interview conducted with Ritche Corpus, who is the Gaming and Professional Software Worldwide at AMD, is as follows:

Based on the response to our AMD Radeon RX 6800 Series and Radeon RX 6900 XT reference design graphics cards, we are extending production to make them available to as many gamers as possible on AMD.com at SEP. Additional reference cards are expected to be available in the first quarter of 2021.

He also commented on to extend support to the AIB partners, helping to develop custom RX 6000 series cards. It is though unclear how AMD will soothen its partners by making its own reference GPUs or this might be the indication that they will improve the stock situation in the days to come.

Even though AMD is planning to bring more reference Radeon RX 6000 series GPUs, it will be a matter of luck to still get one as scalping will still exist. The GPU situation in the market currently is the worst one seen in few years with price hikes of as much as 30-100%, so, AMD, please resolve this!
