The Ryzen 9 7950X3D and Ryzen 9 7900X3D processors, two of AMD’s top gaming CPUs, have official price reductions of up to $100 at their online store. Currently, the Ryzen 9 7950X3D costs $599.99, while the Ryzen 9 7900X3D costs $549.99. The new discounts are offered immediately following the $449 Ryzen 7 7800X3D release.
The timing of AMD’s higher-core X3D chips couldn’t be more deliberate. We discovered that the Ryzen 7 7800X3D, which just made its debut yesterday and has an MSRP of $449, outperforms the more expensive Ryzen 9 7950X3D and 7900X3D in terms of pure gaming performance while being significantly less expensive. Due to the incredible performance value of the chip, AMD is forced to lower the price of its CPUs with more cores to keep gamers interested.
Due to the new price cuts, AMD’s 16-core Ryzen 9 7950X3D is now available for the same price of $599.99 as the discounted Ryzen 9 7950X.
Power users and professionals who use their computer for both work and gaming will find the Ryzen 9 7950X3D to be a much more appealing option as a result, and they won’t have to pay more for it than they would for the 7950X. Because of its higher clock speeds, the 7950X is still faster in terms of raw compute performance, but the Ryzen 9 7950X3D no longer has a price disadvantage.
A price reduction of $50 brings down the Ryzen 9 7900X3D from $599.99 to $549.99. The 7900X3D is now $100 more expensive than the vanilla Ryzen 9 7900X, which is currently on sale for $449.99.
