The Red team’s product lineup doesn’t seem over yet, a couple of months ago the Ryzen 9 4900U was spotted in the datasheet for a Lenovo Yoga Slim notebook. Now, the Ryzen 9 4900U APU has appeared on theUserBenchmark as part of a system labelled “AMD Ted3-RN”.
After the launch of the impressive Ryzen 9 4900H and 4900HS we all anticipated for a Ryzen 9 4900U to be official, and now the leaks of it clearly indicate the fact AMD is waiting to reveal its new efficient as well as powerful 8 core APU to counter Intel’s latest offerings.
Again the tipster @TUM_APISAK has discovered the processor on UserBenchmark, quite surprisingly it’s actually is listed as “AMD Ryzen 9 4900U Graphics”. The APU features 8-core, 16-thread part (FP6 socket) with a base clock of 1.8 GHz and a boost of up to 2.35 GHz which is not true, the turbo boost clock could actually reach around 4.3 GHz.
Unsurprisingly, the operating TDP remains between the range of 10-25 W. The UserBenchmark results for this Ryzen 9 4900U APU in this AMD Ted3-RN system aren’t that much satisfying maybe because of the low boost clocks which speculates it to be an engineering sample.
Although the 1-core score of 136 points and a 2-core score of 198 points are quite promising. With more tweaks and tuning the Renoir APU might be more powerful and what it remains clear that we will get a powerful Ryzen 9 as well in the Ryzen 4000U lineup as well.
