Its no brainer that AMD is leading in the laptop space now as well with its new AMD Ryzen 4000 mobile processors and now with more leaks and benchmarks this is becoming much more evident. Already we had the leaked benchmark of the Ryzen 7 4700U which beat the Intel’s flagship Core i7-1065G7 in multi-core while losing in single-core performance.
Now we’ve got some leaked benchmarks of AMD’s Ryzen 7 4800U featuring 8 cores and 16 threads with 1.8GHz base clock speed and a 4.2GHz boost along with 12MB of the total cache. Thanks to the tipster @TUM_APISAK who has again managed 3DMark 11 scores of this new APU.
The latest Ryzen 7 4800U benchmark scores of an impressive 5,891 points and 12,498 points in single-core and multi-core benchmarks respectively while the Core i7-1065G7 managed 4,591 points and 8,470 points, respectively.
This proves the power of the new Ryzen APUs, is properly cooled and tuned these CPUs can offer better performance at similar or lower prices to that of the blue team.
AMD already claimed it could surpass Intel’s Core i7-1065G7 CPU and now this proves so as well, now the real-world performance of these laptops is what we are dying to test in the coming days. Soon, we will see laptops bearing Ryzen 4000 APUs in the market and more in Q2 of 2020.
