The Red team’s new budget offering is storming past it’s competitors in recent benchmarks. The new quad core offering from AMD is based on its revolutionary 7nm Zen 2 architecture which makes the chip both powerful and efficient.
The Ryzen 3 3300X is busy defeating the Intel Core processors and has been tested on 3DMark’s Fire Strike, where it pulled up a Physics Score of 14,744 points. Thanks to @TUM_APISAK who again spotted this benchmark.
He showed the comparison between the Ryzen 3 3100, Ryzen 3 3300X and the upcoming Intel Core i3-10300. It’s surprising to see that the $99 CPU is also defeating the Intel chip by a small margin as it scored 13,347 points.
The Core i3-10300 managed to score just 13,118 points and even though being clocked at 3.7GHz base clock speed it loses to Ryzen 3 3100 with 3.6GHz base clock speed. On the other hand, the $120 Ryzen 3 3300X is far beyond the competition.
Being a Comet Lake CPU the Core i3-10300 will draw more power even though being rated at 62W TDP. Also not to forget the fact that the CPU will costlier than the Ryzen 3 3300X even though it will have its own iGPU but will require a new LGA 1200 socket compatible motherboard.
On the other hand, both the AMD Ryzen 3 3100 and 3300X are priced around the $100 mark making it ideal to pair with any AM4 socket motherboard and will come included with a stock cooler in the box in the form of the Wraith Stealth.

Now we just need Intel to drop prices further so we can have a price war and some real competition.
