The RDNA 3 GPU architecture-powered AMD Radeon Pro W7900 graphics card has been discovered in Puget Bench. The flagship Radeon Pro W7900 is the graphics card that AMD is already developing to replace its Radeon Pro W6000 series. With its brand-new RDNA 3 GPU architecture and the Navi 31 GPU that was previously found in the Radeon RX 7900 XTX and 7900 XT Gaming cards, the AMD Radeon Pro W7900 will be targeted at next-generation workstations.
While the exact specifications are still unknown, we can be sure that the AMD Radeon Pro W7900 Pro will provide a significant amount of VRAM.
The VRAM of the Radeon Pro W6900X (Apple-Exclusive) and Radeon Pro W6800 is doubled to 32 GB from 16 GB in consumer variants. The top-tier AMD Radeon Pro W7900 should have up to 48 GB of memory if the Radeon Pro W7000 series is any indication. That is the same amount of memory as the NVIDIA RTX 6000 Ada graphics card, and AMD has also been able to match NVIDIA’s top 24-GB RTX 4090 graphics card in terms of memory capacity on its 7900 XTX card.
For the AMD Radeon Pro W7900 graphics card’s GPU configuration, we may be looking at the full-fledged Navi 31 GPU die, though the precise details are subject to change unless they are formally announced. In total, the Navi 31 GPU has 48 WGPs, 96 CUs, and 6144 cores. Additionally, there are 6 MCDs that will have 96 MB of total memory across a 384-bit wide bus interface, with 16 MB of Infinity Cache per die.
