AMD Extends Spartan 6 Product Lifecycle Through at Least 2030

Understanding the need for extended product longevity in specific segments, where lifecycles of up to 15 years are often required, AMD is committed to meeting these requirements. Building upon the success of previous extensions for the AMD 7 Series devices, AMD is now officially extending support for Spartan 6 FPGAs until at least 2030. This extension covers all speed and temperature grades, ensuring comprehensive availability for customers.

AMD values its commitment to supporting long product lifecycles and recognizes the challenges faced by the industry in recent times. By actively addressing supply chain issues and normalizing lead times, AMD strives to instil confidence in its customers regarding the availability of its products both today and in the future. This formal announcement reaffirms AMD’s dedication to providing the ultimate assurance of sustained supply and support for the Spartan 6 product line.
