If you wanted to get a confirmation about AMD’s next-gen CPUs and GPUs, which are going to be substantial in the company’s growth, there is good news for you. At its Q2 2021 investors call, not only AMD posted a detailed report of their revenue report but also confirmed their next-gen lineup is on track.

Both these AMD Zen 4 and RDNA 3 core architectures will be the foundation of AMD’s computing in the next few years and yes, the introduction of the 5nm process to mainstream desktops. In 2022, AMD looks forward to making a lot of new launches, including bringing the RDNA 3 that is rumoured to give 3 times better performance than Navi 21.

AMD CEO Dr. Lisa Su: Interview focused on supply, Xilinx, and future strategies

“We remain on-track to launch next-generation products in 2022, including our Zen 4 processors built with industry-leading 5nm process technology and our RDNA 3 GPUs.”

— AMD CEO, Dr. Lisa Su

The upcoming Radeon RX 7000 series GPUs will pack a huge performance improvement over current and will become the first gaming GPUs in the industry to feature an MCM (Multi-Chip Module) design. Obviously, next-gen products seem to be exciting and an official confirmation from the team seems reassuring as chip shortage persists throughout 2021.
