Parallel Wireless, a telecom industry innovator, recently announced that their GreenRAN™ software platform is now fully CPU agnostic. They also revealed a collaboration with AMD, utilizing AMD EPYC 8004 Series processors to revolutionize their Open Ran solutions. Pioneering Telco Innovation with 5G and Compute

4th Gen AMD EPYC processors are being utilized by Ericsson and Telstra to drive energy efficiency and modernization in innovative 5G core functions. By powering Ericsson’s Cloud Native Infrastructure Solution (CNIS), combined with Ericsson’s Packet Core Gateway and Packet Core Controller solutions, AMD EPYC CPUs have reduced energy consumption by up to 49%, according to Ericsson.
