Amazon Launches New Echo Show 11 & 8 in India from ₹23,999

Amazon has unveiled its latest smart displays in India—the all-new Echo Show 11 and fourth-generation Echo Show 8. Packed with Omnisense technology for automated home routines, enhanced spatial audio, and edge-to-edge displays, these devices are now available starting at ₹23,999.

Product Comparison at a Glance

What’s Omnisense Technology?

The standout feature here is Omnisense—Amazon’s custom sensor platform built on the AZ3 Pro silicon chip. It uses multiple sensors including the 13MP camera, ultrasound, Wi-Fi radar, accelerometer, and audio signals to enable ambient AI capabilities.

In practical terms? Your Echo Show can now automatically adjust compatible smart lights when you enter a room, trigger temperature-based routines when conditions change, and respond proactively based on presence and motion detection. Set up your preferences through the Alexa app, and the device handles the rest.

Audio That Actually Fills the Room

Amazon claims these are their best-sounding smart displays yet in India. Both models feature front-firing stereo speakers with custom woofers designed for spatial audio. The full-range drivers sit beneath the displays and fire audio forward, delivering crisp vocals and deep bass directly toward you.

Stream music, podcasts, and audiobooks from Amazon Music, Apple Music, Spotify, JioSaavn, or Audible (subscriptions may apply). The difference from previous Echo Shows is noticeable—especially if you’re using these devices as kitchen companions or bedroom entertainment hubs.

Design and Display Upgrades

The new Echo Shows sport sleek designs with 3D-knit fabric, thin bezels, and edge-to-edge glass displays that maximize viewing area. The 11-inch model offers full HD resolution while the 8.7-inch version delivers HD quality—both with ambient visuals that adapt to your environment for comfortable viewing.

Video calls benefit from the 13MP camera with centered auto-framing and noise reduction technology, making conversations with family and friends clearer whether they’re using Echo devices or the Alexa app.

Entertainment and Smart Home Control

Access Prime Video, Netflix, YouTube (via Silk browser), and more through touch controls or voice commands. The displays also let you view up to four live camera feeds simultaneously from compatible security cameras and video doorbells—perfect for monitoring your home or checking on pets.

Use Drop In to connect with family members, manage calendars and shopping lists, ask for recipes, and control compatible smart home devices—all hands-free through Alexa.

Privacy Built In

Multiple privacy layers include microphone on/off buttons, in-app and on-device camera controls, and the ability to view and delete voice recordings in the Alexa app. Visit Amazon’s Alexa Privacy Hub for detailed information.

“These devices serve as home assistants, helping customers stay organized and connected while adapting seamlessly to the way they live,” says Dilip R.S., Director and Country Manager at Amazon Devices India.

Where to Buy

Both models are available now on Amazon.in, Flipkart, and offline at Reliance Digital and Croma stores. The devices are designed to be compatible with Alexa+, Amazon’s generative AI-powered assistant, once it launches in India.
