Amazon Halo will soon be shutdown permanently in 2023

Under the Amazon Halo brand, the company was providing health-related services and it has also introduced a few products, such as fitness trackers and sleep trackers, to its product lineup. Now that the company has announced that it will stop providing Amazon Halo health services on July 31 of this year, all Halo devices will stop functioning as of August 1.

To manage health-related data from the devices, users needed a Halo subscription, which was compatible with these devices. The Halo devices and subscription pages have since been removed by the company.

Users of Halo devices can access and download their data up until August 1st, according to Amazon, after which the company will delete all of the data from its servers. It is currently discontinuing sales of its three Halo products and intends to reduce the size of the Halo team.

According to the company, purchases of Amazon Halo View, Amazon Halo Band, Amazon Halo Rise, and Amazon Halo accessory bands made within the previous 12 months will all be fully refunded.

Customers of Amazon Halo are being encouraged to recycle their Halo hardware through Amazon’s recycling programme, and the retailer also notes that it will pay for shipping and recycling expenses.

In 2020, Halo Band—the first product in this line—was introduced. Competitors like Fitbit, Samsung, and Apple were already selling gadgets with more sophisticated features like EKGs and atrial fibrillation when the device was first introduced. It then released a few more products, most recently the contactless sleep tracker Halo Rise in 2021 and the Halo View in 2022.
