Amazfit is known for its midrange to premium smartwatches across the globe. It introduced the GTS 2 Mini New Version in the second week of April and it was a massive hit due to the pricing. Now, the smartwatch maker is bringing the GTR 2 New Version within Indian borders. As per the official announcement, the launch is scheduled for 23rd May at 12:00 PM IST. This smartwatch will be available via Amazfit’s official website and via Flipkart.
The existing GTR 2 has two editions – Sports Edition and Classic Edition. The GTR 2 New Version is coming with Thunder Black and Lightning Grey variants. According to the official website, the Amazfit GTR 2 New Version will cost a bit less than the GTR 2 Sports Edition, INR 11,999. Though, the launch day special price will be INR 10,999 only.

After going through the full specs sheets of both the smartwatches, I have spotted only two differences. First is the options Amazfit is providing. In the new version, there are Thunder Black and Lightning Grey instead of the Classic and Sports Editions. This time the straps have some texture also on them.
The second and the last difference is the Charging Mode. Where for the existing model, it’s written as “Clip / 2-pins POGO pin”, for the upcoming new version it’s “Magnetic Charging Stand”. In the packing list section also, Charging Base is mentioned for the new model.
Apart from these two, there is no difference between the GTR 2 New Version and the GTR 2.
