As per traditions, Xiaomi should release the Xiaomi 12 at the beginning of 2022, but that is not yet confirmed and if we were to go by the leaks that have been surfacing in the past couple of weeks, the handset may arrive earlier than anticipated.

The latest live images of the Xiaomi 12 point out an imminent launch. This is rather surprising as it makes sense if Xiaomi delayed the launch of the Xiaomi 12 due to chip shortages and other supply chain constraints but the fact that we are getting an earlier launch is rather laudable.

The original images of the Xiaomi 12 have been shared on Weibo, from the images we can see the smartphone being used on the subway.

The phone is wrapped neatly with a case to keep onlookers from gravitating towards it. Unfortunately, the case does its job and barely leaves anything to the public eye.

The only takeaway from these images is the fact that the device looks a bit longer than usual, suggesting a taller aspect ratio, but that could be the angle at which the phone is being held as well.

Previous reports with respect to the Xiaomi 12 suggest an exceptionally high screen-to-body ratio, a small punch-hole for the selfie camera. The Xiaomi 12 also passed and received an Indian BIS certification, which is another indication that the device is getting ready to be officially launched in the coming weeks.
