The next Alan Wake 2 Lake House expansion release date is a hot topic for Remedy fans. As reported by X user PlotPointsYT, a recent leak circulating at EB Games New Zealand suggests that the second DLC for War of The Chosen may be released as soon as October 22.

More About the Alan Wake 2 Lake House Expansion

It was already known ahead of time that Alan Wake 2 Lake House was coming in October and with only a few weeks left including the month it has been generating plenty of excitement.

The players could see it for the first time with Kiran Estevez, a Federal Bureau of Control agent who showed up at the September 2024 State of Play. Step into the shoes of Estevez (portrayed by actress Janina Gavankar) as she embarks on an adventure that runs parallel to the events from the original game. In the trailer, she mentions:

“This isn’t the Bureau’s first time in Bright Falls. The FBC’s research department set up a facility, The Lake House. If I had any clue what was waiting for us in there… I would’ve just kept on driving.”

The Lake House itself is a covert research facility situated on the shores of Cauldron Lake, where the Bureau investigates the paranormal phenomena associated with the lake and its dark presence. However, Remedy has said that Lake House is a more straightforward survival horror game as opposed to the fabulist-style stories of the previous story DLC.

Even if the Alan Wake 2: Night Springs expansion is on the short side, it stands as some good DLC for anyone who particularly enjoys the game itself and Remedy’s previous titles. Operating outside of the primary narrative, which was already somewhat flimsy at best, Sam Lake and company have structured entertainingly short experiences that will leave a lot of players wanting more.

What we are hoping for is that the upcoming Lake House expansion offers a bit more than what Night Springs and to be honest, Control itself delivered already in terms of exceptional storytelling.
