Al-Nassr have sacked their manager Rudi Garcia after only a year since he was appointed. The main reason behind it is the poor relationship with the players, after he lost the dressing room.
Back when Cristiano Ronaldo signed for them, the club was at the top of the league table. And the expectation was that he would help them win the title. However, they currently find themselves in second place, three points behind rivals Al-Ittihad, after losing to them 1-0 last month.
Al-Nassr sack Rudi Garcia with league title slipping away
With only seven games to play, the title is not completely in the hands of Al-Nassr as they will need their rivals to slip up, in order to capitalise. Moreover, they are also out of the Saudi Cup, having been eliminated in the semifinals.
The tipping point for Garcia was an altercation that he had with the players. Moreover, the club did not consider him the right man to lead their ambitious project for the future and have decided to pull the trigger in the season run-in.
There are rumours that the Saudi club have made a massive €100 million offer to Jose Mourinho to become their new manager. But, the Portuguese tactician remains committed to Roma for the time being.
