Advances for Sunday are up considerably from Saturday, so a big surge on Sunday is expected, which is exactly what one would hope for from a mass comedy entertainer.

That Sunday momentum is the critical piece now. When a comedy film grows organically over its opening weekend, it typically signals strong audience word-of-mouth — the single most powerful marketing tool money can’t buy.

Is a HIT on the Cards?

The first weekend is projected to land somewhere around Rs. 63–64 crore nett — a decent sum that, more importantly, will come with a strong trend. This means the film is likely going to be a success, and could go on to be a HIT as well, but for that, it needs to run for a couple of weeks — as Bhooth Bangla did.
