Amidst their many outgoings this summer, Ajax are also working to bring in several players. They have already completed the signing of Steven Bergwijn from Tottenham, and Owen Wijndal as their new left-back and are now looking to add more names to the line-up.
Porto starlet Francisco Conceicao’s release clause worth €5 million has been activated, and a five-year contract has been discussed with Ajax as well. The player is all set to move to the Netherlands in the next big chapter for his career, once the medical tests have been completed for the move.
Francisco Conceicao and Brian Brobbey to join Ajax permanently
Alongside Conceicao, Ajax are also working to make the signing of Brian Brobbey a permanent one. The forward spent the 21/22 season with the Amsterdam-based club, and is expected to become a long-term member of the squad very soon.
An agreement has been reached on personal terms since early this month, and he will leave RB Leipzig to join the Eredivisie champions imminently.
Ajax have lost several key players of their squad this summer. Sebastian Haller, Lisandro Martinez, Ryan Gravenberch, Noussair Mazraoui and Andre Onana have all moved on from the club. As a result, more incomings can be expected before the end of the transfer window.
Otherwise, we could be seeing their renowned academy bring through fresh talent to the first team which they have a reputation of pulling off brilliantly.
