Airtel’s 5G trial network speed reaches 1GBps in India

Airtel is now in the testing phase of its 5G services in several parts of India along with other telecom operators. So a recent video that popped out recently shows the real-time speed testing of the Airtel 5G network in the city of Gurgaon in India.

The video that surfaced online shows the speed test of the 5G network during Airtel’s test phase. In that video, we can see that the Downloading speed of the Airtel 5G network crosses almost 1GBps speed in real-time. Whereas, the Uploading speed crossed 92MBps. In the next run, the downloading speed touched 980MBps and the uploading speed touched 93MBps.

Airtel is currently working with Oppo, OnePlus, Vivo, Realme and Apple to test its 5G trial network, sources told ETTelecom. This phone is OnePlus 8 series – OnePlus issued a special patch to enable Airtel 5G on the device.

The video is shared by Danish, Telecoms and tech journalist at the Economic Times, also cleared that according to sources, Airtel is currently working with Oppo, OnePlus, Vivo, Realme and Apple to test its 5G trial network. So, it is safer to say that the whole BBK group and Apple is working with Apple to test its 5G trial network in different smartphones around the cities.

The device mentioned here is a OnePlus 8 series device. The exact name of the device has not been mentioned, but it seems that OnePlus has particularly issued a special patch o enable the Airtel 5G on the device so that it can work properly on the network.
