Kerala Blasters manager Ivan Vukomanovic has offered a massive update on the fitness of club captain Adrian Luna. The midfielder has missed a significant part of the season, but will finally return to training this week.

The Blasters face a huge match next with a game against Mohun Bagan SG, and will field Luna’s replacement Fedor Cernych in the game, while hoping their talisman can return to the squad very soon.

Adrian Luna injury update given by Kerala Blasters

“From 15th (March), we will have (Adrian) Luna back with us. Starting with the training sessions with the medical staff first and then we will see, in the next 10 days, probably in April, if he can be fully with the team. Then (Jaushua) Sotirio probably is coming soon to join the team until the end. Sachin (Suresh) will go for surgery in the next couple of days on his shoulder. Hopefully, we lose nobody else by the end of the season.” Ivan Vukomanovic said in the press conference.

Adrian Luna has three goals and four assists in nine matches for Kerala this season. Overall, he has 13 goals and 17 assists in the ISL. The Uruguayan has missed six ISL games because of his knee injury this far, and that number is expected to go up. But, fans will be hopeful of seeing him return before the end of the season.
