Adnan Januzaj has arrived in Sevilla to join the club as a free agent. The winger left Real Sociedad at the end of his contract last season, and is set to stay in La Liga with Julen Lopetegui’s side.
He will undergo medicals to complete the transfer today and will soon be officially announced by the club. The Belgian will be the replacement for Lucas Ocampos, who is on his way to Ajax permanently. The Dutch side recently sold Antony to Manchester United for a record fee, and will be replacing him with the Argentine.
Adnan Januzaj to join Sevilla on a permanent deal
The winger was linked to a reunion with David Moyes at West Ham United this season. The Hammers manager have Adnan Januzaj his first appearance for Manchester United during his time in charge of the club. However, he failed to capitalise on the momentum and was eventually loaned out to Borussia Dortmund and Sunderland, where he worked together with Moyes again.
United later sold him to Real Sociedad for £8 million, and he has been in and out of the first team for the club over the last five years. At 27, there is still time for him to reignite his career in La Liga.
And with the 2022 World Cup coming up, there is also a chance he could break into the Belgium national team with a string of good performances.
