Top 10 achievements of legendary cricketer Jhulan Goswami

Indian legend bowler Jhulan Goswami quit her international career, with her last ODI series against England at the iconic stadium Lord’s. Life has come to a full circle for her as her first game was against England in Chennai and her last game against the same team in London.

She’s considered to be one of the greatest bowlers as no female cricketer has more ODI wickets than her. She’s the only bowler in women’s cricket who has surpassed the 250-wicket mark.

1. Most wickers in Women’s Internationals.

Goswami has scalped the most wickets in Women’s International cricket. In 2018, she became the first player to hit the milestone on 300 wickets.

2. Wickets in women’s ODI

She’s the only women cricketer who has grabbed 200 plus ODI wickets, with a total of 255 wickets in this format.

3. Most wickets in ODI World Cups

Jhulan Goswami recorded the most wickets of any bowler at the women’s ODI World Cups. It’s incredible because all the 43 wickets are of different batters.

4. Most overs bowled in Women’s internationals

The cricketer has played 204 matches and has a total of 2260.2 overs.

5. Third best figures in Women’s ODIs

She had a bowling figure of 6/31 which was the third best in WOmen ODI against New Zealand in 2011.

6. Highest Test match wickets for India

She has taken the highest Test match wickets for India which is 44 in just 12 matches.

7. Second longest ODI career in Women’s cricket

The Indian cricketer is in the second position, having the longest ODI career, with 20 years and 261 days.

8. ICC Women’s Player of the Year

In 2007, she was awarded ICC women’s player of the year.
