AC Milan will be in talks with Real Madrid soon for the permanent signing of Brahim Diaz. The Spanish midfielder has spent three seasons on loan with the Rossoneri now, after initially joining them for one year in 20/21.
He came back for a two-year loan in 21/22, and has performed quite well for the club during his time with them. Despite the arrival of Charles De Ketelaere from Club Brugge this summer, he has enjoyed the trust from Stefano Pioli which has seen him get ample playing time as part of the starting line-up.
AC Milan to have talks over the permanent signing of Brahim Diaz soon
The 23-year-old has scored four goals and provided two assists in 15 league games this season. And last year, he helped Pioli reclaim the league title for the giants of Italian football.
AC Milan have the option to make the move permanent in the summer, with the buy option valued at €22 million. However, Real Madrid also have a buyback clause in the deal for Brahim Diaz which is valued at €27 million. Despite the clause being present, there is little chance that he could return considering the talent that is already available in their squad.
The club is working on securing Brahim Diaz permanently as a priority. But, they are also prioritising new contracts for Rafael Leao and Olivier Giroud in the coming weeks. The two attackers are key for the project that is being built at San Siro, and negotiations over new contracts will continue to take place in the coming weeks.
