Dhurandhar 2 Casting Buzz — Key Facts at a Glance

The Rumour — And Why It’s Been Shut Down

As is natural with any blockbuster, behind-the-scenes stories and casting speculation tend to surface rapidly once a film dominates screens. The latest claim doing the rounds was that Aamir Khan was in the frame to play intelligence chief Ajay Sanyal before R Madhavan was ultimately cast.

However, an industry insider has firmly put this to rest, calling the claims “absolutely untrue and baseless.” According to the same source, there were no discussions whatsoever between Aamir Khan, director Aditya Dhar, or casting director Mukesh Chhabra regarding any role in the film. It’s a clean denial — no grey area.

What Aamir Khan Actually Said

In a candid conversation with Variety India, Aamir Khan confirmed he hasn’t watched Dhurandhar: The Revenge yet — though he’s heard plenty of praise for it. His reason? He simply prefers reading over watching films in his free time. A very Aamir thing to say, honestly.

The Anil Kapoor Angle — The Cameo That Never Was

Interestingly, Anil Kapoor openly admitted he was approached for a cameo in Dhurandhar 2 but had to turn it down due to prior commitments to another filmmaker. He called it his loss — which, given the film’s monumental success, is quite the understatement.
