Eric Maxim Choupo-Moting has had quite the journey to the top tier of European football. The striker was relegated from the Premier League with Stoke City in 2017/18 and has since played for Paris Saint-Germain and Bayern Munich.

During his time with Stoke in the English top flight, he scored five goals and provided five assists in 30 games. He signed for Stoke from Schalke in 2017 and left for PSG on a free transfer the following year.

For PSG, Choupo-Moting played 51 games over two seasons, scoring nine goals and providing three assists. During this time, he won the Ligue 1 title twice and also won the 19/20 French Cup with PSG.

He eventually moved to Bayern Munich in 2020, on a free transfer once again. Over the first two seasons, he served as a deputy to Robert Lewandowski, who was the main striker for the German giants. With them, he won the Bundesliga title over the last two seasons.

In 20/21, he scored nine goals and provided one assist over 32 games. The forward produced the same number of goals in 26 games and added four more assists.

Following the departure of Robert Lewandowski, Eric Maxim Choupo-Moting has stepped up as the first-choice striker for die Roten. This season, he has been on fire and has scored 17 goals and provided four assists in 26 games, and is one of the most in-form strikers in the continent.

Now, he has extended his contract until 2024 as well and is being trusted by the club for the coming season. And by the end of it, he could be a Champions League winner as well, if Bayern Munich can keep up their 100% record.
