Hunt Strategy and Rewards

Mission Objective: Unlike typical hunts, you’ll need to capture the creature instead of slaying it, so prepare accordingly. Bring tranquilizer bombs and shock traps for the capture phase.

Post-Hunt Benefits: Once you seize Lagiacrus in Monster Hunter Wilds, you’ll find its normal variant wandering in the open world. At HR 41, the challenging Tempered version becomes available.

Unlock Investigations and Farming

After completing “Trembling Blue Currents,” both normal and Tempered Lagiacrus will spawn naturally in the Scarlet Forest. You’ll need 300 Guild Points to save a normal Lagiacrus Investigation in Monster Hunter Wilds. For the Tempered variant, the requirement increases to 400 Guild Points.
