The Taiwan giant’s upcoming gaming laptop portfolio is very wide and disruptive as they want to continue their good relationship with AMD in 2021 as well. The Red team’s obvious next-big-thing is their upcoming Ryzen 5000H processors for gaming laptops and NVIDIA will be launching their RTX 30-series mobile GPUs.
So, combining both of these together will be ASUS’s next ROG Zephyrus G15 laptop on Amazon China by LaptopGuide. The upcoming gaming laptop features an 8-core, 16-thread AMD Ryzen 7 5800HS APU along with NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3080 mobile GPU featuring 16GB GDDR6 memory.
The ASUS ROG Zephyrus G15 features 15.6-inch Full HD (1920 x 1080) 16:9 anti-glare display with a 144Hz refresh rate. It is paired with 16GB DDR4-3200 RAM (8GB x2) and a 512GB M.2 NVMe PCIe 3.0 SSD; the laptop runs on Windows 10 Home Edition.
The laptop weighs only 1.9 Kg, also the Ryzen 7 5800HS processor has a 3.0 GHz base clock speed and up to 4.3 GHz boost clock speeds along with 16M L3 cache. The upcoming gaming laptop has been spotted in the Eclipse Gray color variant that has dimensions of 35.4 x 25.9 x 2.72 cm.
For battery, ASUS has baked in a 4-cell 90 watt-hours Lithium-ion battery, whereas for connectivity, you have 802.11a/b/g/n/ac Wi-Fi and Bluetooth. As per the specs, the Asus ROG Zephyrus G15 seems to be an upgraded model of its predecessor but with more performance this time.
As for the pricing, we see this variant priced at a whopping 14,862 yuan or $2,276, which is around Rs.1,66,421. We will see many of them at the Asus launch event scheduled for CES 2021 on January 13/14.
