The latest on Liverpool’s Wijnaldum-Sanches tale

Gini Wijnaldum will let the club know about the update on his contract soon, that is according to Italian journalist Fabrizio Romano and Francesco Porzio on their Here We Go podcast. The pair also mentioned in the same episode that10 days ago, Wijnaldum received a bid from Liverpool regarding the new contract but it was not the right one. 

There were differences between the player and the club regarding the monetary side of things, along with possibly, regarding the duration of the new contract as well.

The player has since asked for time and is respectful towards Liverpool and before negotiating with any other club, he wants to be clear regarding communication with Liverpool. 

A few weeks ago, Renato Sanches was linked with Liverpool for a possible move in the future. The Portuguese midfielder’s situation was addressed in the podcast, and the verdict was that Liverpool were not looking to sign him in January. 

According to Romano and Porzio, the big deals will only take place next summer as mentioned before.
