Everything You Need to Know About Nothing’s Latest CMF Buds 2 Series
Are you ready to experience premium audio without breaking the bank? Nothing’s sub-brand CMF has just unleashed its latest lineup of truly wireless earbuds, bringing flagship features to budget-conscious consumers. In a groundbreaking announcement that has sent ripples through the tech world, the new CMF Buds 2 series offers something for everyone with three distinct models: the Buds 2a, Buds 2, and Buds 2 Plus.
CMF Buds 2: The Perfect Balance of Performance and Price
The standard CMF Buds 2 sits comfortably in the middle of the new lineup, featuring impressive 11mm drivers with Dirac Opteo tuning for crystal-clear audio. These earbuds pack a punch with 48dB Active Noise Cancellation covering a 5,200Hz range, effectively blocking out most environmental noise.
Battery life is where these buds truly shine – offering up to 13.5 hours of continuous playback with ANC turned off, and a total of 55 hours with the charging case. With an IP55 rating, you won’t have to worry about dust or water damage during workouts or light rain.
CMF Buds 2 Plus: Premium Features at a Mid-Range Price
For just $10 more than the standard model, the CMF Buds 2 Plus delivers remarkable upgrades that audiophiles will appreciate. The Plus variant boasts even better ANC capabilities than Nothing’s premium Buds Pro 2, with 50dB noise cancellation across a wider 5,400Hz range.
Sound quality gets a significant boost with larger 12mm drivers and support for the high-quality LDAC codec, earning these buds a coveted Hi-Res Audio certification. Battery life is equally impressive with up to 14 hours on a single charge and a massive 61.5 hours total with the case – perfect for long trips or busy weeks.
CMF Buds 2a: Budget-Friendly Excellence
At just $50, the CMF Buds 2a makes some compromises but still delivers where it counts. These earbuds feature larger 12.4mm drivers with Dirac tuning and offer respectable 42dB ANC using four microphones. Battery life is reduced to 8 hours (buds only) and 35.5 hours with the case, while water resistance is rated at IP54.
Smart Features Across the Lineup
All three models can be customized through the Nothing X app, allowing you to adjust EQ settings, bass levels, and ANC intensity. Additional features include multi-point connectivity for seamless device switching, low-latency mode for gaming, and even ChatGPT integration.

Why CMF Buds 2 Series Stands Out in the Crowded TWS Market
In a market flooded with truly wireless earbuds, the CMF Buds 2 series distinguishes itself through exceptional value proposition. While competitors in similar price ranges often compromise on either sound quality, ANC performance, or battery life, CMF has managed to deliver on all fronts.
The Buds 2 Plus, in particular, offers features typically found in earbuds costing twice as much, making it a compelling option for audio enthusiasts on a budget. With industry-leading ANC, Hi-Res Audio certification, and marathon battery life, these earbuds punch well above their weight class.
