Are you ready for a seismic shift in the GPU landscape? AMD is about to drop a bombshell that’ll have tech enthusiasts and gamers buzzing with excitement. The highly anticipated Radeon RX 9060 XT is hitting the shelves earlier than expected, while its beefier sibling, the RX 9070 GRE, is taking a bit of a detour. Let’s dive into the juicy details that are sending ripples through the tech world!

AMD RX 9060 XT Launch Moved to May 18, RX 9070 Delayed

AMD’s Surprise Move: RX 9060 XT Arrives Early, RX 9070 GRE Delayed

RX 9060 XT: The Early Bird Catches the Worm

Mark your calendars, folks! AMD has pushed forward the launch of the Radeon RX 9060 XT to May 18, 2025. That’s right, it’s coming in hot, just days before Computex 2025 kicks off. Talk about making a grand entrance!

But wait, there’s more! AMD is serving up this graphics card in two mouthwatering flavors:

16GB model: For those who crave that extra VRAM goodness
8GB model: A more budget-friendly option that still packs a punch

Specs That’ll Make Your Rig Sing

Let’s get down to the nitty-gritty. The RX 9060 XT is no slouch when it comes to performance. Here’s what we know so far:

Feature	Specification
Memory	8GB or 16GB GDDR6
Bus Interface	128-bit
Memory Speed	20 Gbps
Total Bandwidth	320 GB/s
Expected Price Range	$300-$400

But here’s where it gets interesting. While NVIDIA’s latest offerings are flirting with GDDR7 memory, AMD is sticking to its guns with GDDR6. Is it a bold move or a misstep? Only time (and benchmarks) will tell!

RX 9070 GRE: The Fashionably Late Arrival

Now, for those eyeing the RX 9070 GRE, we’ve got some bittersweet news. This 12GB powerhouse, featuring a cut-down Navi 48 GPU and a 192-bit bus, is taking a rain check. Originally slated for a May 8 debut, it’s now pushed back to Q4 2025.

But don’t fret! This delay could be a blessing in disguise, allowing AMD to fine-tune performance and potentially counter any moves from Team Green.

The Battle for Your Gaming Rig

With these launches, AMD is clearly gunning for NVIDIA’s jugular. The RX 9060 XT is poised to go toe-to-toe with the RTX 5060 and RTX 5060 Ti. And let’s not forget, AMD has a reputation for aggressive pricing. Could we see a price war that benefits us, the consumers? Fingers crossed!
