Coming April 11, 2025, this massive update will bring the extravagance and spectacle of Marvel’s legendary mutant gala to life in the arena of cooperative, team-based gameplay.

Marvel Rivals Adds Krakoa Map in Hellfire Gala Update Featuring Emma Frost and Ultron

Drawing from the widely-praised Hellfire Gala of Marvel Comics, this Krakoa map is a feast for the eyes. With a setting on the living island of Krakoa, it’s a decorative and verdant space for a drama-filled battleground, decorated with luxurious decor, floating lights, and foliage. Not only does this new environment add some fresh visual flair, but it also alters the dynamics of movement and strategy during the matches as well.

The gala setting quickly descends into chaos as Ultron invades the celebration, bringing his army of sentries to disrupt the peace. There are also two new playable characters: Emma Frost and Ultron. Vanguard heroes are Emma Frost, who fights with psychic shields and crystallizes into her diamond body to add defense and support to teams.

Ultron is a healing-centric Strategist who calls on drones and can offer support to close and mid-combat allies. The update also includes Hellfire Gala-themed skins for a number of heroes, most prominently a super glamorous “Chaos Gown” for Scarlet Witch.
