Galaxy S25’s First-Month Sales Skyrocket by 3x Compared to S24

Galaxy S25: Samsung’s latest flagship smartphone, the Galaxy S25 series, has smashed records in its first month of sales, with over 4.56 million units sold—more than three times the sales of the previous Galaxy S24 lineup. According to new research from Hana Securities, the Galaxy S25 Ultra, unsurprisingly, led the pack, followed by the base S25 and the S25 Plus. However, while the initial sales numbers are impressive, data suggests that daily average sales after the pre-order period declined, allowing the Galaxy S24 to outperform its successor in this specific metric.

Galaxy S25 Ultra Takes the Crown in First-Month Sales

Tipster @Jukanlosreve shared on X that Samsung shipped 19.03 million smartphones in February 2025, reflecting a 3% decline from January but a 15% increase year-over-year. Despite this overall drop, the Galaxy S25 lineup made a strong debut.

Here’s a breakdown of the first-month shipments:

• 📱 Galaxy S25 Ultra – 2.55 million units
• 📱 Galaxy S25 Base Model – 1.17 million units
• 📱 Galaxy S25 Plus – 840,000 units

In contrast, the Galaxy S24 series only managed 1.42 million units during its initial month after launch, highlighting the staggering growth in demand for the S25.

Daily Average Sales Post Pre-Order Period: Galaxy S24 Had the Edge

Interestingly, while the Galaxy S25 series stole the spotlight with its first-month performance, daily average sales post pre-order period told a different story. The Galaxy S24 averaged 240,000 units sold per day, whereas the S25 lagged behind at 180,000 units per day.

Why Did Daily Average Sales Decline?

Several factors might have contributed to this trend:
✅ Higher Pre-Order Demand – The hype and anticipation around the S25’s upgraded features led to an influx of pre-orders.
✅ Aggressive Launch Promotions – Samsung’s promotional offers and discounts during the initial phase attracted a surge of early buyers.
✅ Slower Post-Launch Adoption – Once the pre-order period ended, demand may have tapered off as prospective buyers waited for future promotions.

Amazon’s Big Spring Sale Offers Massive Discounts on Galaxy S25 Models

Currently, Amazon’s Big Spring Sale is offering discounts of up to $254.99 on all Galaxy S25 models, providing an enticing opportunity for buyers who missed out on pre-orders to grab the latest flagship at a reduced price.

Samsung Aims for 37 Million Units in 2025

Reports indicate that Samsung is targeting 37 million units of Galaxy S25 production for 2025, which is 2 million units higher than the Galaxy S24’s estimated 2024 output. However, it remains to be seen whether the momentum from the S25’s strong start can be sustained throughout the year.

Can Samsung Maintain Its Lead?

While the Galaxy S25’s first-month performance paints a rosy picture, the decline in daily average sales suggests that sustaining long-term growth might be a challenge. As the smartphone landscape becomes increasingly competitive, Samsung will need to leverage aggressive pricing, compelling features, and strategic promotions to maintain its lead.
