PUBG India hasn’t been granted any permission to launch by the Indian Ministry(MeitY)

After the ban of PUBG in India for some India-China issues, every day we have been hearing something new regarding the return of PUBG in India. A few days ago, PUBG Corporation has already confirmed that there will be an Indian version of PUBG and it will get launched in this country very soon. But for several reasons out there, there are no signs about the launch of this game in India. Things have got more complicated as recently the Indian Ministry(MeitY) said that it has not granted any permission to launch PUBG in India.

So, it seems that things have not got clarified between the PUBG Corporation and the MeitY(Ministry of Electronics & IT) and that’s why as of now, there is no chance of re-launching this game in India. Back in September, Government of India has banned 118 Chinese apps. Among those apps, one was the “PUBG MOBILE Nordic Map: Livik”. After this issue, KRAFTON Inc. (PUBG’s parent company) has tried its best to customize and re-launch this game especially for the Indian users with the support of an Indian company. But unfortunately, that attempt went in to vein as well.

Apart from it, PUBG Corp. also signed a partnership with Microsoft‘s Azure Cloud Platform that will host the game in compatible devices. But a report had come out stating that PUBG is planning to migrate the data of Indian players’ as well as their IDs to China. So, at that time, it was a big concern regarding the data threat, privacy and security. For all these reasons, things were getting more nad more complicated that leads to not granting the permission to launch it in India. May be, in the future, PUBG will get appeared again on Google Play Store and Apple’s App Store in India.
