Samsung’s S Pen has long been a signature accessory, first introduced with the Galaxy Note series and later integrated into devices like the Galaxy S21 Ultra and Galaxy Z Fold 3 after the Note lineup was discontinued in 2021. However, with the latest Galaxy S25 Ultra losing Bluetooth functionality, and the Galaxy Z Fold SE not shipping with a stylus in certain markets, speculation grew that Samsung was planning to omit S Pen support from future models.

Samsung Confirms S Pen Will Stay for Future Galaxy Phones, But Bluetooth Features May Not Make a Comeback
Dismissing these concerns, Samsung’s UK VP of Product and Marketing, MX Division, Annika Bizon told TechRadar in an interview that the S Pen is here to stay. Samsung regards the stylus as integral to the ecosystem it’s built up around Notes, drawing, and exploring the devices to navigate what they offer and how people use their devices, she stressed. Bizon pointed out that many customers still ask whether the S Pen is going to be kept with future Ultra models, revealing its importance to the premium lineup.
Some questioned whether the rise of AI-powered features might reduce the need for a stylus, but Bizon dismissed this notion. The S Pen is still a crucial tool for creativity, she continued, particularly now that new AI-powered features such as Galaxy AI’s Sketch to Image can power up your digital drawings and sketches. This gives support to the idea that AI and the S Pen can co-exist and do not need to replace each other.
Now that Samsung has confirmed this, we can expect the S Pen to arrive with all products next year including the Galaxy Z Fold 7 and perhaps the Galaxy S26 Ultra. It’s worth noting if Samsung will bring back Bluetooth, which previously supported features like Air Actions and remote camera controls. The decision to remove Bluetooth was reportedly based on usage data, as fewer than 2 percent of users regularly utilized these features. While the S Pen will remain a staple of Samsung’s Ultra models, its exact capabilities in future devices are still to be determined.
