2025 Honda Elevate: Honda has introduced an updated version of the Elevate SUV in Japan, where it is sold as the Honda WR-V. The latest update brings a new Black Style edition, following the trend set by the Black Edition models recently launched in India. Let’s take a closer look at what’s new in the 2025 Honda Elevate (WR-V) Black Style Edition.

2025 Honda Elevate Updated in Japan – New Black Style Edition Unveiled

Honda Elevate Black Style Edition – What’s New?

After launching the Black Edition and Signature Black Edition of the Honda Elevate in India earlier this year, the Japanese market has now received a similar Black Style version of the WR-V. The new edition is available with Z and Z+ trims and starts at JPY 2,483,800 (approximately ₹14.67 lakh).

Key Updates in the Black Style Edition:

  • Exterior Design:
    • Black ORVMs, door handles, shark fin antenna, and alloy wheels
    • Available in multiple exterior colors, unlike India’s Black Edition, which is limited to Crystal Black Pearl
    • Black alloy wheel nuts for a sportier look
  • Interior Enhancements:
    • All-black theme similar to the India-spec Black Edition
    • Gloss black inserts on dashboard and doors
    • Black stitching on steering wheel
    • Fabric seats (unlike the leatherette seats in the India-spec Black Edition)

One notable difference is that the Rhythmic Ambient Lighting system, available in India’s Signature Black Edition, is missing from the Japanese WR-V Black Style Edition.

Powertrain and Performance

The Honda Elevate / WR-V continues to be powered by the same 1.5L naturally aspirated 4-cylinder engine, producing:

  • 119 BHP of peak power
  • 145 Nm of peak torque
  • Transmission options: 5-speed manual or CVT automatic

Honda has been exporting the Elevate to Japan, boosting its presence in global markets. With this latest Black Style edition, the WR-V gets a fresh new look that could attract more buyers.

Will Honda Bring This to India?

While the Black Edition in India is already gaining popularity, offering a similar customizable Black Style Edition with multiple exterior colors could be a great move. Expanding the Black Edition to lower trims might also make it more accessible to a wider audience.

With the Honda Elevate continuing to perform well in India, could we see a Black Style Edition with more customization options in the future? Only time will tell!
