LG Rollable, LG Rainbow, and LG Q83 is coming by the first-half of 2021

A recent has come out from LG Electronics, saying that the company is about to launch three new smartphones in the first half of 2021: LG Rollable, LG Rainbow, and LG Q83. LG will be the first company in the globe to launch a rollable smartphone. Apart from the rollable smartphone, LG will also launch a flagship smartphone and an affordable one as well, LG Rainbow and LG Q83 respectively.

First of all, let’s talk about the affordable one, LG Q83. The Q83 might sport a 6.5-inches flat display. In terms of dimension, the phone measures (164.4×76.3×7.8)mm. According to CAD renders the phone features a tear-drop notch display with a thick sized chin.

According to the renders, this upcoming Q series phone will have a triangle module at the backside to hold the rear camera vertically. The phone will have a triple rear camera alongside a LED flash. But we haven’t got any information regarding lenses. The phone also has a side-mounted fingerprint sensor, which is placed on the right edge of the phone. The volume button and Google Assistant key will be placed on the left edge of the phone. Regarding the other specification, the bottom edge of this phone has a 3.5mm earphone jack, an USB Type-C charging point, and a speaker grille.

Coming to the 2021 flagship segment of LG, the LG Rainbow is going to be a different type of smartphone. As of now, the company has not shared much about this smartphone. As per some earlier reports from tipsters, the LG Rainbow will have two models: one for global and one for the regional. As mentioned earlier, this phone will get launched in the first half of 2021 (probably in March).

And at last, Let’s talk about the B-project of LG or you can say a project regarding its Rollable smartphone. It is a good initiative from LG to bring different innovative devices into the market. As per some earlier revealed patents, it will feature a 6.8-inch rollable AMOLED display that can be stretched to reach 7.4 inches.

From those reports, we’ve got an idea of how the upcoming rollable smartphone will work. It will allow the user to pull the display outward on either side. This tech will give the screen a variable-length if we compare it to its collapse mode.

The company also indicates that display extensions can be put to different uses relative to the main screen contents. There could be a frame by frame view in the case of watching videos or switching between different camera views. As of now, the company has shown us only this amount of things. We hope in the upcoming days, things will get clearer for us.
