After the defeat in the first 3 matches, SC East Bengal were finally able to secure their first point against Jamshedpur FC in a 0-0 draw. But that match has also raised some questions on some decisions made by the referee. Unfortunately, there were some decisions that were gone against SC East Bengal.

After the match against NorthEast United FC, Fowler asked to introduce VAR in ISL as his team was denied two ‘clear penalty’ in that match. This time they officially lodged a complaint against refereeing in ISL.

SC East Bengal midfielder Eugeneson Lyngdoh was sent off at the 25th minute following a challenge on Aitor Monroy in which the player made contact with the ball first.

After the game SC East Bengal boss Robbie Fowler complaint that they have played against 12 men in the field.

Fowler said, “I don’t think any decision was going our way. Everyone does seem to be against us. We just had to go out there and defend like the way we can and don’t concede and it was important for us to get the point.”

“We have suffered in the last three matches so after yesterday’s match we have shared our feedback with AIFF, Hopefully, it will be taken into consideration to enhance the quality of referee to maintain the spirit of the game during the remainder of the tournament.”

“This is a process that is available to every club where they can share feedback about the officials with the federation.”

SC East Bengal will face Hyderabad FC on Tuesday in their next game.
