Manchester United midfielder Bruno Fernandes wins the Premier League ‘Player of the Month’ award for November. After two consecutive comebacks in the last two matches, Manchester United are now 7th in the table with 19 points, 5 points behind the leaders with a game in hand.
The Portuguese midfielder is an instrumental part of Manchester United’s success in the recent past. In November, Bruno has played 4 matches and scored 4 goals. This is his 3rd ‘Player of the Month’ award since his joining in January. He is now just one away to equal the record of Cristiano Ronaldo and Paul Scholes and two away from equalling the record of Wayne Rooney.
Bruno also became the first foreigner to win the Premier League ‘Player of the Month’ award three times in a calendar year. Former Manchester United player Ashley Young achieved this feat in 2008 in his time at Aston Villa and Harry Kane had done the same in 2017.
After winning his 3rd POTM in the first six months in England Bruno said, “It’s difficult to have one of these, so I’m really proud to have my third one.”
“I will be happy when I win the Premier League. The point to come to England, to such a huge club, was to win the Premier League and I think we have the chance to do it.”-he added.
Manchester United will take on Manchester City tonight at Old Trafford. Bruno Fernandes will surely want to continue his form to secure the vital 3 points against the ‘noisy neighbors’.
