Powerbeats Pro 2 Launch Imminent: Apple Set to Announce Soon

Apple is set to launch the Powerbeats Pro 2 in 2025, with the wireless earbuds reportedly arriving very soon. According to Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman, in his latest Power On newsletter, the Powerbeats Pro 2 is “due imminently.” Apple is also planning to conduct media product briefings “in a week or so” to present some of the earbuds’ new features. This came soon after a regulatory filing for the Powerbeats Pro 2.

The Powerbeats Pro 2 will be like a sportier, fitness-focused version of AirPods Pro. They have adjustable ear hooks, so they stay in place during workouts. Last year, Apple released a teaser video showing MLB star Shohei Ohtani wearing the Powerbeats Pro 2, revealing a new, slimmer, more vertical design compared to the original Powerbeats Pro, which has since been discontinued. Most importantly, the new device integrates heart rate monitoring into your workouts.

This feature is part of the Health app in addition to supported apps on the iPhone and indicates that a Powerbeats Pro 2 user will be able to sync to a compatible gym machine — such as a treadmill — to track heart rate data. In terms of features, the Powerbeats Pro 2 should get Active Noise Cancellation (ANC), Spatial Audio, and Adaptive Audio. The Powerbeats Pro 2 will come, along with the charging case, in several color options, namely – Jet Black, Quick Sand, Electric Orange, and Hyper Purple.

The charging case, however, should have a USB-C port, which will no doubt be a nice surprise for users. Other features that could get a boost include audio quality, battery life, and cross-platform compatibility (including support for Find My Device on Android). These upgrades put the Powerbeats Pro 2 a step up for Apple’s fitness-centric earbuds.
