PS5 players might see a wave of Xbox games in 2025 as Microsoft continues expanding its third-party offerings. Next year, spring will see the arrival of Indiana Jones and the Great Circle, made by the developers of the popular title MachineGames, and DOOM: The Dark Ages will also make its way to the PS5. And this is just the start, as more games from Microsoft-owned studios could end up on Sony’s platform.

PS5 May Get Gears of War, Hellblade II, and Age of Mythology from Microsoft in 2025
On 12 January, industry insider Nate the Hate posted his new round of rumors, which suggest that Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024 and Halo: The Master Chief Collection might come to PlayStation 5 and potentially the next Nintendo Switch later this year. This also represents a landmark point in Microsoft’s new philosophy to get its exclusives out to as many people as possible.
Shortly after, Windows Central’s Jez Corden confirmed these rumors and added even more potential PS5 arrivals: Senua’s Saga: Hellblade II, Age of Mythology, and Gears of War 1 Ultimate Edition. The latter would be particularly significant since it would bring one of Xbox’s flagship franchises to PlayStation.
Though Gears of War 1 Ultimate Edition is a remaster and has been on Xbox since its release in 2015, it still potentially paves the way for additional Gears titles, as rumors of a Gears of War Collection have been thrown around for at least a couple of years.
Hellblade II and Age of Mythology Retold may be easier for Xbox fans to stomach. Hellblade II is a fine game but practically a re-tread from the original, and Age of Mythology is a strategy game that hasn’t even crossed over to Xbox consoles yet. Both titles could find a wider audience on PlayStation. Corden even mentioned that these games might also be released on the Nintendo Switch 2, although Senua’s Saga: Hellblade II could face challenges being ported to a platform with rumored hardware limitations compared to the Xbox Series S.
