OPPO Reno 13 Series India Launch Date, Specs Revealed

OPPO has officially revealed the launch date for the Reno 13 series in India. The lineup will include the Reno 13 5G and Reno 13 Pro 5G, succeeding the Reno 12 and Reno 12 Pro models that launched last year — after teasing its design and color options earlier. This is the same as the specifications that the series first launched in China in November. The OPPO Reno 13 series is set to be launched in India on January 9th, Thursday at 5 p.m. The smartphones will be sold through Flipkart and OPPO’s official website.

Key details about the Reno 13 series have been confirmed, including several photography features. These are, among others, AI Livephoto, similar to the Live Photo feature on iPhones, AI Unblur to restore clarity after camera shake, and AI Reflection Remover to remove reflections in photos. We can also expect a mode for underwater photography, if the IP68 and IP69 ratings are any indication, again possibly available as a staple on both Reno 13 and the Reno 13 Pro models, just like on their Chinese counterparts.

The MediaTek Dimensity 8350 processor with AI capabilities will power both Reno 13 5G and Reno 13 Pro 5G. There is mention of 12GB RAM and 512GB storage configurations on the microsite, so maybe more variants can be expected on the day of launch. For this, they will adopt a self-developed SignalBoost Chip X1 that improves the network experience.

The Reno 13 Pro 5G is set to feature a 3.5x telephoto super zoom camera with up to 120x digital zoom. The Reno 13 5G will be available in Ivory White and Luminous Blue, with the latter offering a glowing effect around the camera module. The Reno 13 Pro 5G will come in Graphite Grey and Mist Lavender colors. Both models will have an aerospace-grade aluminum frame and Gorilla Glass 7i protection on the front OLED panel. To recall, the OPPO Reno 12 series launched at a starting price of ₹32,999.
