Poco Website Shuts Down: All Future Phones to Be Sold on Xiaomi’s Platform

In a move to streamline its digital ecosystem, Poco has officially discontinued its dedicated website, po.co, as of January 2025. This marks the end of Poco’s standalone online presence, with all future Poco products now being sold exclusively through Xiaomi’s website.

Why Poco Merged with Xiaomi’s Website?

The decision to close the po.co website was first announced in October 2024, and now it’s official. Poco’s global and regional websites, including those in Europe (UK, France, Germany), have been redirected to their respective Xiaomi Stores. Even the Poco Store app has been shut down, signaling a complete integration into Xiaomi’s ecosystem.

This move isn’t entirely surprising. While Poco has often been marketed as an independent brand, it has always operated under Xiaomi’s umbrella. The shift to Xiaomi’s platform is seen as a way to simplify operations and enhance customer experience, consolidating everything under one roof.

What’s Next for Poco?

The first Poco product to launch on Xiaomi’s website will be the Poco X7 duo, scheduled for release on January 9, 2025. Fans of the brand can expect the same innovative features and competitive pricing that Poco is known for, but now with the added convenience of Xiaomi’s robust online infrastructure.

Meanwhile, Poco India’s website remains frozen in time, stuck before the launch of the Poco C75 and Poco M7 Pro 5G, which were expected to debut in late December 2024.

What Happens to Existing Poco Customers?

For existing Poco users, there’s no need to worry. Xiaomi will continue to handle all warranty claims and after-sales services, as it has always done. Personal data from the Poco Store app will be stored in compliance with applicable laws and can be downloaded via Xiaomi account settings.

The Bigger Picture: A Strategic Move by Xiaomi

Poco’s integration into Xiaomi’s website is more than just a logistical change—it’s a strategic move. By consolidating Poco’s operations, Xiaomi aims to:

  • Streamline its digital ecosystem for a more unified shopping experience.
  • Leverage Poco’s popularity to drive traffic to Xiaomi’s platform.
  • Expand its reach in both online and offline markets.

While some fans may feel nostalgic about Poco’s independent branding, this shift could ultimately benefit customers by providing a more seamless experience.
