OnePlus Ace 5 Series Launches Dec 26 With Powerful Specs

The OnePlus Ace 5 lineup will be unveiled in China next week, alongside the OnePlus Buds Ace 2 and new OnePlus Pad. OnePlus has been teasing the design, color options, and chipsets of the upcoming OnePlus Ace 5 and Ace 5 Pro. The Ace 5 is expected to feature a Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset, while the Ace 5 Pro will use the Snapdragon 8 Elite Extreme Edition. Both models will come with up to 16GB of RAM and up to 1TB of storage.

The OnePlus Ace 5 series will debut in China on December 26 at 2:30 PM local time (12:00 PM IST) as per a teaser from OnePlus itself over on Weibo. It would also mark the launch of the new OnePlus Pad alongside the Buds Ace 2. Shared images showcase the phones’ flat displays, narrow bezels, and triple rear cameras, as well as a hole-punch cutout for the front-facing camera.

The OnePlus Ace 5 Pro features Submarine Black, Starry Sky Purple, and White Moon Porcelain color options. The Snapdragon 8 Elite Extreme Edition SoC found inside also scored 3,218,978 points on AnTuTu, suggesting that the chip, an overclocked version of Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Elite, is designed for heavy performance. The Nubia Z70 Ultra and Red Magic 10 Pro series also use this chipset.

The standard OnePlus Ace 5 will also come in three color options, though their names remain undisclosed. It will be equipped with the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset. Pre-reservations for the Ace 5 series are open on OnePlus’s official Chinese website, with configurations including 12GB+256GB, 16GB+256GB, 12GB+512GB, 16GB+512GB, and 16GB+1TB.

Both models are expected to feature a 6.78-inch BOE X2 display with 1.5K resolution and a triple camera setup, comprising a 50MP primary sensor with OIS, an 8MP secondary sensor, and a 2MP third sensor. The OnePlus Ace 5 is rumored to pack a 6,415mAh battery with 80W fast charging, while the Ace 5 Pro may include a 6,100mAh battery with 100W charging support.
