Intel Arc B580 ‘Battlemage’ GPU Benchmarks Leak, Outpaces RTX 4060

The first unofficial benchmarks of Intel’s upcoming Arc B580 “Battlemage” GPU have surfaced, showing it outpacing the RTX 4060 and RX 7600 XT in performance. With Intel’s second-generation discrete GPU family being launched in the days ahead, codenamed Battlemage, these early benchmarks give a gist of how well it performs, albeit not from Intel.

Intel Arc B580 Benchmarks Leak, Outpaces RTX 4060 & RX 7600 XT

Intel had already shared several performance figures for Arc B580 in its recent presentation of performance in a wide variety of titles, including both rasterization and ray-tracing metrics. That being said, the best way to know how a product will perform in the real world is to wait for third-party benchmarks and reviews to drop, and the latest Geekbench results, published today, give us probably the best idea of what we’ve been working with until we have reviews in our hands.

We tested the Arc B580 in a system with an Intel Core Ultra 9 285K CPU and 48GB of DDR5-8400 memory. The GPU boasts 20 Xe2 cores, operating up to 2850 MHz, with some models able to cross the 3 GHz mark when overclocked, aided by a 10 W TBP increase.

Performance-wise, the Intel Arc B580 managed to score 103,445 points in Vulkan API tests and 98,343 points in OpenCL API tests. The AMD Radeon RX 7600 XT and NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4060 scores in Vulkan API tests were 87,270 and 97,127 points, respectively. This places the B580 ahead by 19% over the RX 7600 XT and 7% over the RTX 4060, offering a solid performance boost, especially at its $249 price point.

Intel 2 3 Intel Arc B580 ‘Battlemage’ GPU Benchmarks Leak, Outpaces RTX 4060

The B580’s performance in OpenCL is similar to its competitors, though Intel focuses more on modern APIs like DX12 and Vulkan. These early benchmarks indicate strong potential, but we will need to wait for full reviews to assess gaming performance and other aspects. More details about the second-generation Intel Arc lineup are expected soon.
