Heartbeats on Amazon MX Player: A New Medical Drama Exploring Love, Ambition, and Friendship, Premiering November 29

Plot Overview of Heartbeats

The story weaves through the life of Akshat, who is a small-town boy with big dreams, who comes to a world far away from his known world. He forges a special friendship with Saanjh, an ambitious, firebrand peer who pushes him so much as to become his fiercest opponent—and his most loyal adherent. Beyond this pressure є a competition of sorts for the undisputed and coveted Dr. Ananda Foundation scholarship, and the events surrounding their realities, reconcile their dreams, heal their splintered hearts, and even test their friendships.

Themes of Love, Ambition and Resilience

The series explores the emotional struggles of young medical interns attempting to make it in the tension-filled world of a hospital, where each decision can be life or death. Akshat’s life is a series of struggles — personally and professionally — exploring the burdens of growing debt and the results of his decisions. The show is set to take the audience on a journey through hope, love, heartbreak, and regret.

Shivangi Joshi plays Saanjh, a complex character with a mix of vulnerability and ambition, a character whose struggle many viewers can identify with. “Saanjh is a beautifully layered character which combines ambition and vulnerability in a way that’s deeply relatable,” Shivangi said about her role. “Heartbeats brings a perfect mix of drama, romance, and hope, and I’m sure it will leave the audience feeling inspired and deeply moved.”
