Alice in Borderland is one of Netflix‘s best live-action offerings but it didn’t become popular until the massive breakout that was Squid Game. Some this, some that, but we believe most fans would argue saying Alice in Borderland has a more enticing plot. Alice in Borderland Season 3 is soon going to arrive with two seasons already out. Alice in Borderland Season 3: Release Window, Cast, Plot, and More
The story follows Arisu, who gets caught up in a strange, empty Tokyo and must play games to survive. As he traverses this treacherous landscape, he meets friends as well as foes. Time distortion is fresh in the dialogue-heavy plot: minutes or days of time spent in this alternate world, compared to actual reality.
A major cliffhanger conclusion to season 2 had left fans wanting more. In September 2023 Netflix announced at last that speculation had ended, and the series was coming back for its third season. Netflix broke the news on Nov. 20 that it plans to release the film sometime in 2025 but does not yet have a specific date set. If you have not watched the first two seasons, now is a good time to do so.
He confirmed that Kento Yamazaki and Tao Tsuchiya will return as Arisu and Usagi, respectively. Season 2 could also potentially see the return of other survivors from the Borderland games, like Kuina (who was surprisingly absent from this season), Chishiya, Aguni, and Ann, although there is no official word on that just yet.
Season 2 followed the manga up to its end, yet with that Joker card somehow being added at the very last minutes of it all, there remains a possibility for fullness to be enacted. It might be based on the Retry manga, which acts as a sequel. The spin-off is set many years after the original series, following characters who had resumed their normal lives when Arisu gets unexpectedly caught up in the Borderland again. Or the entire season could revolve around the Joker card. Be it a Retry or something entirely as yet unexplored, Alice in Borderland Season 3 is looking to be one hell of an addition to the franchise.
