Asus launches new Chromebox 4

Chromeboxes might not be as popular as the Chromebooks, but they remain a popular niche audience. It includes schools and businesses that still find some uses for this device. one of the reasons that are the reason for the device’s popularity is the competitive prices of it. When compared with Windows 10 machines, the device is affordable. The device offers free access to the Google Workspace, formerly known as G Suite productivity apps.

Recently, Asus has revealed its new Chromebox 4 series that comes with faster and more efficient Intel 10th gen silicon. The Chromebox 4 has four different low voltage Intel CPU options. The device has a 1.9 GHz Celeron 5205U also 2.1 GHz Core i3-10110U plus the 1.6 GHz Core i5-10210U and the 1.8 GHz Core i7-10510U variants. The device’s RAM is pre-configured and will come with either 4 GB DDR4 SO-DIMM or 8 GB DDR4 SO-DIMM chips. The device’s storage comes with a primary 32 GB eMMC option through a robust 256 GB M.2 SATA SSD.

The connectivity options include 3x USB 3.1 Gen2 ports; a 1x USB 3.1 Gen1 USB-C port; a 1x USB 3.1 Gen2 port; 2x USB 2.0 ports; 1x USB 3.1 Gen1 USB-C port (USB 3.0/PowerDelivery/DisplayPort); 2x HDM1 ports; 1x microSD card slot, and 1x LAN (RJ45) port. Wireless connectivity is provided by way of a new Wi-Fi 6 (802.11ax) modem while the Chromebox 4 also supports dual-band Bluetooth 5.0.
