Ajay Devgn’s Naam Set To Release this November
Ajay Devgn plays the lead in a long-in-the-making film titled Naam, which will be released on November 22 after much delay as announced by its makers Saturday. The film is directed by Anees Bazmee and produced by Anil Roongta beneath the banner of Roongta Entertainment and Snigdhaa Movies Pvt. Ltd., the makers also revealed the poster and official title this weekend.
Alongside Devgn, Naam stars Bhumika Chawla and Sameera Reddy and will be distributed nationwide by Pen Marudhar. This film marks the fourth collaboration between Bazmee and Devgn, who have previously teamed up for films like the 1995 action thriller Hulchul, the romantic-comedy Pyaar Toh Hona Hi Tha (1998), and the psychological thriller Deewangee in 2002.
As per a statement from the filmmakers, Naam was shot back in 2014 but one of the producers passed away making it delayed. It had long fought for a distributor, according to trade sources. Now, with financial and distribution backing secured, the film is finally set to premiere.
While Ajay Devgn will be back as Bajirao Singham in Rohit Shetty’s Cop Universe film, Singham Again, prior to that. This Avengers-style crossover will be headlined by Kareena Kapoor, Akshay Kumar and Deepika Padukone, Ranveer Singh, Tiger Shroff, and Arjun Kapoor. On the other hand, Bazmee is slated to start his horror-comedy Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3 with Kartik Aaryan next month alongside Madhuri Dixit and Vidya Balan. Singham Again and Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3 will open in theaters on November 1.
