Marcus Rashford made history with his goal against Southampton this past weekend. The forward scored United’s second goal of the game in the 3-0 win against the Saints.
The goal etched his name in history alongside other club legends. Only five others have managed to score in 10 consecutive seasons at the club – Wayne Rooney, Roy Keane, Ryan Giggs and Paul Scholes. And now, the academy graduate is among them.

Erik Ten Hag was criticised a lot for starting Rashford over Garnacho in the game against Southampton. However, the decision paid off as both players found the back of the net in the comfortable win.
Marcus Rashford has had a tough time recently, failing to recapture the form he had in Erik Ten Hag’s first season. He only scored seven times last season, and it remains to be seen if he will ever reach his best again.
The 26-year-old still has time on his side, and a bit of consistency should help him become one of the first names on the team sheet again. For the time being, he is competing with Garnacho for time on the left wing, with Jadon Sancho no longer a part of the squad.
